My art explores the unlimited possibilities for personal transformation using color and texture. I intuitively create mixed-media paintings representing thoughts and emotions using natural fibers, eggshells, and acrylic paint. For the last six years I have independently studied human behavior and experience, brain function, metaphysics, and the Law of Attraction. This intensive examination transformed my mind, body, and spirit. Previously, regret, anger, shame and fear rendered me lost and confused. I desperately wanted to heal and transform myself and my life because I knew that I was destined to be greater than the person I was at that moment.
In 2007, I left my abusive marriage and entered SAFEHOME, a womens domestic violence shelter. Upon arrival, I began receiving therapy. After two months, my therapist learned a new healing process, Resonance Repatterning, based on concepts from new physics, novel brain research and energy psychology that make it possible to maintain a natural state of coherence and achieve the best of who you are irrespective of circumstance.
While descriptions of everything is energy or vibrating frequencies sound appropriately implausible, I was so desperate to change my life that I decided to be open to this unfamiliar process. My first repatterning session initiated a series of changes in my emotional well-being that brought me to a current state of: unconditional love and acceptance of myself, complete trust in life, joy, and understanding the perfection of every moment and person in my life.
In 2012, I decided to concentrate on my lifes passion: art and healing. I re-invented my artistic vision to align with my lifes purpose. My intuition guided me to use eggshells and honeycomb dimensional patterns that I adhered to canvas and wood panels. Eggshells represent growth, birth, development, struggle, and fear. The honeycomb form represents mental and emotional patterns. All the colors I use in my work I intuitively apply and energetically represent different emotions. For example, light green could represent harmony and dark green non-coherence.
The visual language depicted by my art describes the human struggle. By breaking patterns of behavior we open ourselves to the light that is within. The textures and colors in my work channel healing energy from the universe. The energetic vibrations and frequencies contained by the colors shift the mind-body consciousness. As the viewer interacts with this energy, they begin to explore the unlimited possibilities for personal transformation.
